I appreciate what was done for me with getting my warranty repairs done, however, I am very disappointed as to how I received my tahoe back. I was very forthcoming and said I was very particular about my car and was apprehensive about leaving it due to past experiences. I was given a loaner from the dealership and practically had to sign my life away. Bring in back clean, no damage, no smoking, no pets, full of gas etc....and I appreciate all of those things because that's how it should be. But my car was not returned to me in the sane shape as I dropped it off. It was filthy in the back. No attempt was made whatsoever to clean it inside. There are scratches all over my interior back side walls that can't be fixed. I'm very disappointed in how I received it back. The expectations should be the same for the dealership as is for the customer!!

I scheduled an appointment for an oil change. Afterwards, I received several phone calls requesting that I change dates/times. I was able to make a time change to suit the service department. I chose to wait, as I have not had issues in the past. This time, I waited 2 hours for an oil change. This is making me question where I get future oil changes.

I had called to make appointment because the shift to park message was coming on. Chad the maintenance manager said I should schedule an appointment, which was a week out. I had purchased the Comprehensive coverage (bumper to bumper) from Zurich when I purchased the vehicle which expires in 2026. My appointment was at 10am I arrived at 9:45 got checked in, near about 11:30 I was told they contacted Zurich, and they sent it to the board committee for review and have not got back with them yet and that they would be going to lunch at 12 noon. Then at 1 pm. I was told that it was approved and the guy was working on it now. About 2:20 my vehicle was ready. I don't understand why it had to be approved with Zurich and if so why it could not been approved before my appointment time so I would not had to sit there all that time.

I recorded the noise my car was making because it was intermittent and I was fearful it would not make the noise in the shop. They ran the vehicle for 35 miles and it didn't make the noise so they gave it back. I told them it originated from passenger back wheel. No one inspected the wheel took it off to see if anything was wrong. Just gave the car back. It's under warranty and I can't help feeling if my situation would have resulted in revenue for the shop more would have been done to uncover the issue. Again I had a recording of the noise.

I would put zero if I could, I didn’t get my truck back for months and no one bothered reached out to keep me updated. After multiple phone calls with what seems to be the most incompetent group of people who run the service department the manager managed to reach out and even still it took months to get my truck back, I strongly implore anybody to avoid the service department here. I am selling my truck just because I never want to deal with these people again!

Evap Purge valve replaced 9/23/25 @ 152,037--I paid. Previous replacement of Evap Purge valve on 6/14/2022 @ 95,940--warranty paid. Prior to that, Evap Purge valve replaced 10/14/20 @ 73,899-- I paid. Thought GM letter dated September, 2019 (I received 11/15/2019) would be applicable for payment. Not sure where to start- I have been using your dealership for my trucks, even bought one there. At my last visit on 11/11 a one hour appointment turned into a 4 hour appointment because everything I requested fixed, along with the "well truck check" did not get done. I specifically requested a diesel mechanic. The mechanic working on my truck new nothing about exhaust/Def and forgot to do that. So glad I got an opportunity to work hard as a teacher and spend my money at your dealership. SO now I have had to make another appointment-not at your dealership- to get what I need fixed- fixed. Additionally, I will never buy a vehicle from you every again and will encourage everyone I know to do the same- my son bought a car with you as well. And please publish my response :)

Don’t always comment on work performed. However, felt it was more than justification to comment on my recent experience at Joe Bowman Chevrolet (JBC). I will definitely go back to buying my next new truck at JBC. I recently had both business trucks with issues to the point they could not be used. With that said, I chose to try service again at JCB. Joe Bowman service has improved significantly due to the professionalism, dedication, integrity of Chad Austin, the service manager. Canaan Somers service advisor was very effective and efficient in all his efforts to assist with correcting my company truck issues. Bryan Andrews, service tech performed work on my two trucks actually got them fixed the first time, while Chad constantly kept me informed of the progress. Chad’s integrity and dedication have definitely rectified customer service issues at JBC. Chad’s organizational skills and his team, should be commended for their work, dedication, integrity.
